Ryan M. Swank joined the firm’s Pasadena office in 2010. Prior to joining Christie, Parker & Hale, Mr. Swank was an associate for a Scottsdale-based IP firm, where he handled the patent prosecution process from beginning to end, including client consultation, patent searching, infringement analysis, patent drafting, and determining strategies in the course of prosecution and appeal. Additionally, Mr. Swank has experience in domain name litigation.

Before attending law school, Mr. Swank was an intern in his capacity as an electrical engineer for a Tempe-based submersible three-phase electric motor fabrication plant. Mr. Swank was responsible for comprehensive engineering design projects related to safety redundancy and quality control. While earning his electrical engineering degree at Arizona State University, Mr. Swank focused on electromagnetics, antenna theory, network communication, signals processing, and steady state controls, as well as physics generally.
