With the rise of electronic commerce, trademark protection on the Internet has become a prevalent concern of our clients.  In the context of policing our clients' trademarks, we provide watch services to alert our clients about "cybersquatting" third parties who register confusingly similar domain names and/or use our clients' marks on their sites without authorization.

In addition to the traditional enforcement of our clients intellectual property rights in court, we routinely recover domains registered by such cybersquatters through Uniform Dispute Resolution Policy (UDRP) arbitration.  By November 2006, we have filed over 150 UDRP complaints with the National Arbitration Forum (NAF) alone, with a success rate of 94%.  [The NAF became an Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN)-approved dispute resolution provider in December 1999, soon after the UDRP was adopted by ICANN.]

Our experience in patenting software and algorithms allows us to supplement our Internet trademark practice with the patent protection of internet software and business methods.  Many of our attorneys have degrees in computer science or computer engineering and have experience in software development and design.  Our ability to thoroughly comprehend these technologies enables us to secure the broadest protection possible.
