Recruiting Law Students
CPH typically hires two to four summer associates per year. We focus on providing "real-world" experience, and our summer associates obtain a wide variety of experience, in both prosecution and litigation matters, during their time with us. Of course, we also offer plenty of opportunities for our attorneys and summer associates to get acquainted in a social setting. In past years, summer associate events have included horseback riding, sailing, frequent lunches and dinners, firm picnics (including at local amusement parks), theatre outings, golf tournaments, cooking classes, and a hike up Pasadena's Echo Mountain (with a reward of dinner, gourmet chocolate, and Champagne for those who make it to the top).
We encourage law students with strong technical, academic, and interpersonal skills to apply for summer associate positions. Applications may be sent directly to the firm. Candidates also are welcome to sign up for an on-campus interview at law schools where the firm conducts regularly scheduled interview programs. The firm presently interviews on campus at Georgetown, George Washington University, Loyola, Pepperdine, UCLA, and USC.
